Resources: Options for Sexual Health
No video recording available.
Our learning series continues with a focus on empowering our youth with Sexual Health Education led by Kristen Gilbert, Director of Education and Certified Sexual Health Educator from Options for Sexual Health in Vancouver.
Sexual Health Education is important for all students! It ensures that our youth can learn the skills needed to navigate healthy relationships, understand their own bodies, and support them to make informed decisions, which can help protect them against abuse, exploitation, unintended pregnancies and sexually transmitted infections (STIs). Students need and want help making sense of information they receive from various sources including peer and online messaging.
This session will address the “why" of sexual health education and provide an overview of what is covered in schools. Resources and helpful tools will be available to help continue the conversation and learning at home.
