Ten SD43 students from six schools recently participated in the Greater Vancouver Regional Science Fair for grade 7-12. The three-day event was held April 7-9, 2016 at the University of BC.
The students got to meet like-minded peers who engaged in inquiry-based science projects. They formed connections with students from throughout the Region. They attended university lab tours and completed science based activities such as going in the HR MacMillan Space Centre portable starlab and seeing a Science World Show.
Three of our students were awarded Gold Metals and selected to Team BC to compete at the Canada-Wide Science Fair in Montreal, Quebec from May 15-20, 2016.
