Heritage Woods Secondary industrial design students won $1000 for their waste management proposal as part of SFU Public Square's Re Think Food initiative. The event was held at Science World and participants went through various workshops throughout the day, including ideation, learning how to plan a proposal, budgeting, tips on how to make a good presentation, etc. Each team had only 2 min. to pitch their proposals to a panel of judges, which included management from Metro Vancouver, sustainability entrepreneurs, financial planners from SFU, and board members from various school districts.
