It is my pleasure to welcome you to our Baker Drive Elementary Community. As learners we are working hard every day to make the world around us more positive, kind, caring and informed. We are curious about how the world works and committed to working together on learning how our participation at school, at home and in the community effects everything.
We investigate the natural world during our nature breaks at recess and lunch - climbing trees, inventing games, and playing in our beautiful outdoor spaces together. We are so lucky to learn from each other in our outdoor classroom in the trees during other times of the day. Check out our photo gallery for images of us together in and outside our school.
Our teachers and support staff work hard together and collaborate constantly to ensure we are creating learning opportunities that allow our student learners to explore and apply literacy and numeracy skills and strategies at the highest level possible. We pride ourselves on creating a compassionate culture where we show our thinking and learning in ways that others can see and investigate with us. Knowing what we want to figure out (inquiring) and what we think about what we are doing and learning each day (reflective learning) is the cornerstone of our time together.
