Volunteers will be assigned as greeters, first point of contact for voters, welcome, direct voters to the appropriate line and answer questions. Volunteers are needed at each of the 9 polling stations throughout the city- shifts available Oct 7, Oct 10, Oct 17.

Youth at the Booth is Elections BC’s program to hire high school students as election officials during provincial elections and by-elections.

We are currently accepting applications from individuals interested in future election official opportunities. Qualified applicants may be contacted if a provincial general election is called within the next six months.

Interested? You can take part in the program if you are a high school student:

  • between 15 and 19,
  • interested in community service, student government or service clubs,
  • able to work in a neutral and impartial way, and
  • comfortable using technology.

Applicants must be legally entitled to work in Canada, have a valid SIN and their parent or guardian’s approval to apply.
