SHAD CANADA - GRADES 10 /11
Shad Canada (formerly known as Shad Valley) is an annual Canadian summer enrichment program for high-achieving high school students in July. The program is open to both Canadian and international students. The program is offered at 21 participating universities across Canada. SHAD ON CAMPUS or SHAD ANYWHERE APPS OPEN IN SEPT AND CLOSE DEC 1.
UBC Black Futures Program
Each year SD43 offers seats in this program to black students in grades 10-12. See your counsellor or Career Advisor. Event takes place in Fall. The program consists of both online and in-person meetings at UBC. High school students work with UBC students, as well as a variety of faculty and other professionals. There is no cost for students to attend—they will be bussed to and from UBC.
