​​​Banting Middle School: Sir Frederick Banting Middle School is a grade 6-8 middle school with a population of 550+ students.  We have English and Early French Immersion programs.  Sixty-seven percent of our classes are English and thirty-three percent are French Immersion.  Our exploration programs offer media arts/S.T.E.A.M, performing arts (music/drama), visual arts, technology education and home arts.  At Banting we focus on teaching and mentoring the whole child; heart, body, and mind.  We are an inclusive school and we take pride in our diversity and our school focus on SR (self - regulation) and SEL (socio -emotional learning).  Our Mission Statement: Ecole Banting Middle School provides a supportive environment which promotes the active participation of students in their intellectual, cultural, physical, and social development, enabling them to contribute responsibly in our changing world.  Our students thrive on the opportunities, responsibilities and high expectations at Banting. We opened the doors of our new state of the art school in November 2018, and we are very proud of our new building, its staff and the amazing students that attend Banting.  We are called the Banting Blaze and our motto is "Blaze your trail - ton chemain, ton demain!"
