​Connecting To Kindergarten

Each year in May we hold a "Connecting to Kindergarten" program to introduce our newest learners to their school. This program includes an opportunity for parents to learn about school and how they can support their child with this transition. Please see our digital calendar on the home page of our site to find out when this is happening this school year. At the beginning of Kindergarten students are involved in a gradual introduction to school. This program is designed to start students in small groups so that they are able to bond with their teacher early in the school year. There is also an opportunity for the child and their parents to meet with the teacher during the first week of school so that our teachers get to know each child well.​

Grade 5 Transition to Middle School​

A variety of activities are set up for students as they transition from Alderson to Middle School. As information becomes available about these activities we will inform our Grade 5 families. Special visits are set up for students who would benefit from additional support as they transition to Middle School.
