Languages Department

Explore the world through languages at our vibrant Languages Department! We tentatively offer engaging courses in French, Spanish, Korean, and Chinese (Mandarin), where students not only develop proficiency in listening, speaking, reading, and writing but also dive into the rich literature and cultures of these diverse regions. Our curriculum is designed to immerse students in the beauty of different languages, making learning both exciting and meaningful. By studying these languages, students will gain valuable insights into global cultures, enhancing their communication skills and broadening their horizons. Join us and watch your child embark on a journey of cultural discovery and linguistic mastery.

Important note for university-bound students: A language 11 course is required for direct entry into BC universities. In some cases an “Introductory" language 11 course might be acceptable - check for specific post-secondary admissions requirement.

Important note for all language courses: Native language speakers should consult with the instructor to determine the appropriate language course and level.
