βββββββββββββββββProud to be Centaurs!
Over the course of history, the Centaur, half horse, half human, has represented many things: from the wise and fierce warriors to the conflicted view that Centaurs represent the struggle between civilization and barbarism.
At Centennial, we hope the Centaur mascot symbolizes the very best in humanity. The head and heart of a human characterizes the wisdom, rationality, intelligence and empathy we hope to instill in all our students, while the body and legs of a horse represent the power, stability, determination and grace afforded to the docile beast.
Nurturing the heart, mind, soul and body is the mandate of public education, and at Centennial we are very proud of our work, our community, and our students.
We are Proud to be Centaurs, and attempt daily to be model Centennial Citizens. Pride in how we work, Pride in how we act, Pride in how we just be.
βPride is a personal commitment. It is an attitude which separates excellence from mediocrity.β (unknown)
Proud to be Centaurs? You bet!!β
