The Suwa'lkh Garden is part of a horticulture program designed to offer an outdoor learning space, food production, and cultural teachings to our students. In partnership with Fresh Roots, in addition to horticulture, the garden acts as a therapeutic space for our students. The garden is designed as a traditional Aboriginal medicine wheel. The benches invite students and community members to sit and relax in the sacred space.
Fresh Roots runs the greenhouse to compliment the raised gardens to support their Spring through Fall program. Students at Suwa'lkh have the opportunity to work in the garden and are planning to have an ongoing plot this year.
